Puerto Princesa's Underground River

There is an ongoing competition on the 7 Wonders of Nature which is organized by Bernard Weber, President & Founder of New7Wonders. We , Filipinos are very proud and thankful that we have the underground river located in Puerto Princesa as one of the top ten finalists which the winners will be announced on November 11, 2011. If our entry will win, this will be another big thing to showcase how beautiful is the Philippines and it adds value in attracting more tourist to our country.

The Underground River is located in Subterranean River National Park 50km north from the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a spectacular or karst landscape as you pass by the river under the beautiful cave. This underground river is 8.2 km long and one of the longest underground rivers in the world. The place is also significant habitat for biodiversity conservation that is why this renowned hot spot is preserved.

So I encourage all the Filipinos from around the world to show our support that would make us more proud of our country. To vote you may visit the website www.new7wonders.com     or text PPUP and send it to 2861 and get a chance to win cash prizes from the Dept. of Tourism.
